The City of Sandy Oaks was incorporated in Bexar County on May 10, 2014. The city is an Aldermanic Type A General-Law Municipality, comprising an elected Mayor and 5 elected Aldermen. Elected terms are for a period of two years. General law cities operate according to specific state statutes prescribing their powers and duties. If state law does not grant general law cities the express or implied power to initiate a particular action, none may be taken.

Trash is collected every Monday by Waste Connections Inc. Place your bins at the curb by 7:00 AM on Monday morning. For missed pickups or bulk item questions, call City Hall at (210) 607-0834.

Water service for Sandy Oaks residents is provided by SAWS (San Antonio Water System). For billing, payments, or to report a water issue, contact SAWS directly at (210) 704-7297.

Property tax information for Sandy Oaks residents is managed by Bexar County. You can look up your property tax account, current balance, and due dates at the Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector website or by calling their office directly. City Hall can help direct you if you are unsure where to start.
